Jon SilvermanJon Silverman is, as of now, only one of two lifetime members without ‘Godol’ on his résumé. However, he was an incredibly active Aleph during summers, attending CLTC and two impacts, more than any other Lantosian, past or present. He was one of our most-spirited members ever and always brought a much needed spark, and stereo, to meetings, programs and conventions.

Robert (Robbie) OstRobbie automatically received lives after serving as Lantos’s 9th Aleph Godol. At the time of his lives he was the most senior active member in Lantos, starting out in Lantos, without having an older sibling, out of his own volition at a young age. He also served as the 8th Aleph Moreh and recruited a huge influential AIT class. He is known for being a real role model and big brother to many younger members.

Joshua (Josh) BlochJosh became an honorary lifetime member of Lantos. Although he never served high on board, his incredible dedication, shown by walking a ridiculous 6 miles to Monday Meetings for years and an infamous 15 mile walk to Chapter Convention ’13, led him to receive this honor. He put in hard work despite being Shomer Shabbos and is a great example for other aspiring leaders who happen to be religious as well.

Ben SimonBen was the founder of Lantos, who worked tirelessly to create Lantos. Because of his hard work, Lantos steadily gained members and eventually, received a temporary charter. It was that following spring that Lantos was officially recognized as a full chapter. The following year, Ben took his work ethic and engaging personality to the next level by serving as the DC Council Aleph Moreh.

Jacob BrownJacob is arguably Lantos’s most “BBYO-famous” member. He was prominent at all levels of BBYO and served as Council S’gan and Council Godol his junior and senior years, respectively. Jacob helped continue our chapter’s growth in its rising years by instituting many different aspects including a whole new board position but is most known for tireless work ethic.

Logan NeufeldLogan is, unarguably, the funniest Viking in memory. So much so actually, that even after his Mazkir term, everyone still wanted him to take minutes at meetings because of how much laughter he caused. Although he was never a high board member, Logan helped shape the chapter’s character and lighten the mood, even staying active his senior year, unlike most.

Maxwell (Max) ByerMax was Lantos’s 12th Aleph Godol. He was one of the best behind-the-scenes workers and did so much this chapter did not realize including writing our constitution. He even served as our Aleph S’gan and Council Sopher simultaneously and did not drop off one bit in either. Sadly, on May 31st, 2023, Max passed away from cancer after a long and hard fight. May his memory be a blessing

Yosi VogelYosi, our first foreign-born Godol, revived and raised the chapter in his term. He brought the chapter from a low point and grew the chapter in all aspects, from membership to programming to order. He helped develop many members into strong leaders and did a lot or work even above the chapter level. Every member of BBYO knows Yosi for the incredible drive he had. Yosi was elected in 2022 to the Maryland House of Delegates.

Austin TruppAustin was Lantos’ first S’gan and second Godol. He epitomized a dedicated member, not only serving on board, but also showing how Lantos could be fun and inspiring leaders to embrace the rowdy Viking spirit. He is responsible for coordinating Lantos Survivor Chapter Convention, the most

Class of 2022
The Lantos Class of 2022 was iconic and helped take Lantos to the next level. They are as follows...
Jasper Bernstein
Jasper Bernstein was Lantos' 22nd Godol back in Fall 2019. Along with that, he was also Lantos' S'gan, and Gizbor. He also ran for International Board.
Daniel Bahat
Daniel Bahat served as our 24th Godol as well as being Mazkir and S'gan. Daniel created the Mekasher postion which now ceases to exist and improved our chapter communication by creating our GroupMe. Daniel also served as DC Council's Mazkir during his Senior year.
